Early digital paintings
In the earliest digital series of playgrounds and landscapes I returned to memories in which the loss of innocence and illusion is the central theme.
Houses, playgrounds and cultivated nature play the leading role. At first glance they seem to represent a safe and unchanging world. But the digitalised, simplified and exaggerated colors and proportions turn these worlds into symbols of alienation. The absence of people adds in undermining the illusion of a possibly ideal world.
