A German Forest for a private collection

Sewn painting made of artificial leather | dimensions: 90 x 115 cm

Remember the late 19th early 20th century school pictures? They were mounted on board and served to illustrate the teachers story. I was Commissioned to make a sewn painting of a German forest and the animals that live in it, and to make it reminiscent of the school plate style. A joy to work on. The painting was destined for their newly build Country House. As a surprise I incorporated a portrait of the house on the left side.
